Glossary
How to read the boards
- Top 6
- Opponents who are 1st–6th. A finished season uses the final table. A live season uses the table as it stands.
- Middle
- Everyone between the two sixes. In a 20-team league that is 7th–14th; in an 18-team league, 7th–12th.
- Bottom 6
- Opponents in the last six places, on the final table or the current one.
- Current table
- In a live season every match, including gameweek 1, is banded by where the opponent sits now. The goal moves if they climb or drop. A finished season stays on the final table.
- GI
- Goal involvements: goals plus assists, league games only.
- PK
- Penalties scored (not awarded, not missed).
- Excl penalties
- Goals or goal involvements with penalty kicks removed. Free kicks and corners still count.
- CS (GK and DF)
- Keepers and defenders: a clean sheet if they played 60 minutes or more and the team did not concede. Attackers show a dash.
- Giant-killers
- Clubs ranked by points per game against the Top 6 (minimum four such matches).
- Bullies
- Clubs: share of goals vs the Bottom 6. Players: 5+ goals with at least half vs Bottom 6, or 10+ goals with under 10% vs Top 6.
- Suggested scorer
- The player on that club with the most goals (or assists / clean sheets) against the opponent’s current band, adding this season and last season. Not a lineup or injury check.
- League games only
- Domestic league matches in the five competitions. No cups, super cups, or UEFA nights. League tables, badges and compare stay on this contract.
- Transferred players
- If a player moved clubs during a league season, they are listed at the club they finished that season with. The totals still include every league game they played that year.
- Other Big Games
- Knockout games that actually test a player. Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, Copa Libertadores, Copa Sudamericana, World Cup, European Championship, Copa América, AFCON and Gold Cup — quarter-finals through the final. Domestic cups (FA Cup, League Cup, Copa del Rey, DFB-Pokal, Coppa Italia, Coupe de France) — semi-finals through the final. Appearances count anyone who played, including substitutes. Unused substitutes are not counted. Assists are counted when the match feed records one. Lives on the player page only, so league boards stay fast.
